Contact FAQ

1. I'm (representing/part of/a big fan of/a promoter of) A (band, company, label) And Want To Send Our Music To You....

Send the music to the address above in C/O one of the genre people listed above. If you are unsure of which genre (or if the CD is/you're representing multiple genres) your package may represent, then send it to the Music Director. Please note however that sending your CD isn't guaranteeing any airplay per say. We have DJ's who play what they want to, and while recommendations can be made, as college radio we don't force anyone to play specific groups or CD's.

2. Can I Send Public Service Announcements To You?

Absolutely! Send them to either the address above again C/O the Production Director, or email them to psa@wmua.org . PSAs should be in copy format (exactly what you would like announced on-air; word attachments in emails are fine) or as the flier you've posted with the info for the event; either one can be accepted. Please also send them a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of the event so that they have proper time to be processed & announced, as we get tons of them. Also, please keep in mind there is no guarantee on reading, as we get many requests for PSAs on a consistent basis. If you wish for absolute guaranteed readings, please see our underwriting section.

Messages sent as the following will not be aired/read:

• Events consisting of several pages
• Announcements sent the same week an event
• Advertisements for companies/web sites
• Press Releases

4. What about News Ideas, Local Stories, or Debates?

If you have any good ideas on what should be reported on (i.e. stories/events on, in or around UMass/Amherst or people to interview on certain issues), then feel free to email our news team at any time, as news is always out there, but it can't always be noticed.
