WMUA is throwing a party! Thursday May 6 in the side room at Divas Night Club, during the See You Next Thursday party, WMUA DJs Root, Studebaker Hawk, and Mimi Broochmen will be spinning the finest in funk, afrobeat, disco, house, soul, and funky breaks. Divas is located at 492 Pleasant St in Northampton, MA. The party is 18+ and kicks off at 10PM.

A reminder that in order to be considered for a show on WMUA, you must be a station member in good standing and have completed the board operator training.

WMUA is now accepting applications for Department Directors for the 2010-2011 academic year. WMUA is staffed by a board of 15 Department Directors; each of these Directors oversees a staff of volunteers in several aspects of the programming and financial operations of a non-commercial radio station. Positions are paid, and open to UMass Undergraduates only. Applicants may be in any major; all students are encouraged to apply, especially those with strong backgrounds in business and/or media and/or tech. Job descriptions for each position can be found here, and applications can be found here.
Applications are due April 17th by 5 P.M. Jobs for the following Department Directors are available: Music, News, Sports, Publicity, Production, Office Coordinator, Visual Media, Tech, Underwriting, Fund Drive, Outreach, Music Librarian, and DJ Training.
WMUA's annual Vinyl sale is back!
Sunday April 25, at the Cape Cod Lounge in the Student Union on UMass campus, WMUA will host
20 local and regional dealers, as well as the station ourselves, selling over 10,000 vinyl records and CDs.
Admission is FREE, the sale runs from 11AM-5PM, and WMUA DJs will be spinning all day to keep the vibe right.

For the first time in 8 years the Umass Minutemen won an Atlantic 10 tournament game with a 59-56 victory against the host Charlotte 49ers in the opening round of the 2010 Atlantic 10 Tournament on Tuesday night. The Minutemen will head to Atlantic City on Friday night to take on the 3 seeded Richmond Spiders at 9 PM.
You can follow the minutemen as they look to make a mad dash through the A10 tournament here on WMUA 91.1 FM. Starting at 8:45 with the North Amherst Motors Pregame Show, you can tune in either online or with your radio dial set to 91.1 to catch March Madness down as the Minutemen battle for the top spot in the A10.
